Liam Sharkey

Director of Business Development at Mutual Value Labs

I've always worked in sales and business development - from selling cutlery in China to selling data to banks in London.

A few years ago I went in to sustainable finance and responsible business as part of a desire to see a better form of capitalism in the world. I am always looking to learn and spend time trying to improve my public speaking, writing, and mentorship.

Any mentees working with me will gain practical insights into high-value consultative sales, strategic thinking, and building impactful professional relationships. I'd also be happy to share my journey from journalism and international sales to leading teams across global markets.

I like to think that sales is something everyone does without knowing it! The best salespeople I know are teachers, parents and consultants.

Offering: Career Insight Sessions, Mentoring, Interview Support

Experience: Building Partnerships, Business Plans, Sales (I think that everyone does sales but they don't realise it!)

Fun fact: In 2009 I drove from London to East Timor and was on a daytime ITV game show in 2022 (and won!)
